What we check, in short
More than 30 checks, grouped into six parts. Each has a "what it means" and a "how to fix it".
Speed
Google's score on mobile and desktop, how long until the content appears, how heavy the page is.
Google (SEO)
Title, description, main heading, sitemap, structured data, text and images without descriptions.
Customers
A phone number you can tap, a form, WhatsApp, a clear button and your address.
Security
HTTPS, the certificate and its expiry date, redirects, basic browser protections.
Mobile
Whether the page fits the screen, whether buttons are easy to tap and the text easy to read.
Technologies
What the site is built with, and whether anything is old, unmaintained or has known security issues.
How to read the report
You get an overall score from 0 to 100 and a score for each part. Do not fixate on the number. Look at the "What to fix first" list: it is ordered by how much each problem costs you.
- Over 85: the site is in good shape. There are small things left, usually a few hours of work.
- Between 55 and 85: it works, but you are losing customers along the way. Most problems have simple fixes.
- Under 55: the site is costing you customers. Some problems are quick to fix, others need a new site.
Not everything in red means a new site. A certificate about to expire, a 5 MB image or a phone number you cannot tap can be fixed in minutes. You can fix them yourself, with whoever built your site, or with us through maintenance.
Why speed on mobile matters most
Most people open your site on a phone, on mobile data, often on the move. Google measures exactly that and takes it into account when it decides where you rank. A site that appears after 5 seconds loses a good share of visitors before they see what you sell.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take?
Usually 20 to 40 seconds. The longest part is the speed measurement, which Google runs on mobile and desktop.
Why does the score change from one check to the next?
Speed is measured in real conditions, and your server does not always respond equally fast. Differences of a few points are normal. If the score jumps a lot, it is a sign the server is unstable.
Can I send the report to someone?
Yes. Every report has its own link. You can send it to a colleague, to whoever maintains your site, or to us.
My site runs on WordPress. Does that matter?
No, we check any public website. If it is WordPress, we also tell you which version it runs and whether it uses old libraries.
What do I do afterwards?
Start with the first 2 or 3 problems under "What to fix first". If you want help, press "Get an estimate" in the report: we receive your website address and reply within one working day with what is worth doing and what it costs.
